In line with the Shichida method training, I try to have my son, Sasha, recite poem or nursery rhyme for several times a day to sharpen his memory. Haiku by Basho poem is by far my Son's favorite poem. He could recite this poem in a heart beat.
Haiku
The old pond
A frog jumps in
The sound of water
At present, Sasha has also memorized the following nursery rhymes and he likes to recite them as well:
Lavender's Blue
Lavender's Blue, diddle diddle
Lavender's green
When I am king, diddle diddle
You shall be queen
and
Star Light, Star Bright
Star light, Star bright
First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight
